The FL3095 Fluorescence spectrophotometer is fitted with a special diode array polychromator instead of the conventional emission monochromator and detector. A Xenon light source in combination with an ultra-fast excitation monochromator allows the running of an excitation spectrum in millisecond timeframes. Highly Flexible The use of fiber-optics increases the flexibility of the system by allowing different measuring cells to be used. The cell itself can be positioned remotely to the measuring unit thus allowing, for example measurements in high-risk areas. Two-dimensional Fluorescence It is now possible to record emission spectra as a direct function of the excitation wavelength, effectively allowing two-dimensional fluorescence measurements. Resolution of Mixtures Simultaneous measurements at different wavelengths in order to obtain optimum results for individual substances in mixtures, especially in HPLC the ability to obtain both excitation and emission spectra can be used to characterise and check purity. Fast Kinetic Applications This ultra-fast system can be used for measurements in the area of fast kinetics and phosphorescence. The fiber-optic architecture suppports the use of immersion probes for direct measurements in solutions or vessels.
